Carnival Cruise Lines - Dining Dress Code

Carnival Cruise Lines has announced a change in their dining dress code that allows for a more casual attire on formal nights. For men: dress slacks and dress shirts, sport coat optional - For women: coctakl dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts and blouses. Of course you can still wear your formal attire if you prefer that form of dress.

For nights of casual dining you can now wear Mesn: khakis, jeans, dress shorts (no cut-offs), sport shirt - Women: casual dresses, skidrts or pants and blouses, summer dresses, capri pants, dress shorts, jeans (no cut-offs).

Joyce and I have enjoyed cruising since 1980 and want to share our experience and knowlege with you. We've enjoyed it so much that we became agents with the agency we used for many years CRUISES INC, now based in Fort Lauderdale. Costa Maya Being Replaced As Port of Call

Due to the recent hurricane hitting the Mexican coast line, Costa Maya experienced major damage and has been closed to cruise ship traffic for now. The stop has been replaced by other available ports along the coast or with a 'sea' day when necessary. Those booked on itineraries in the Western Caribbean should contact their booking agent/agency for full details if they have not already been notified.

Passport Requirement Updates

Effective October 1, 2007 PASSPORT RECIEPTS will no longer be acceptable as proof of passport application to get back into the country. Passports will be required for all air travel.

Basic requirements are

All air travel back into the US requires a valid passport with the exception of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Swains Island and the US Virgin Islands.

Land/Sea Travel will require passports no later then June 1, 2009. Currently, cruise ship passengers departing/returning at a US port only need provide State issued copy of birth certificate and a government issued picture ID.

Crossings into/from Canada now requries a birthcertificate or Crossing Card for those living in boardering states.

We strongly encourage anyone planning ANY travel outsidethe US (Hawaii excluded) to begin the application process now to ensure they have it in hand in time for travel.
